About Tim Foster

Tim Foster founded Chaparral Landscaping in 1985, beginning as a design-build landscaping contractor with the aspiration of replicating and enhancing the natural beauty of the outdoors while integrating the unique space of each client to create a seamless blend of nature, light and balance. Tim Foster holds a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering (in electrical and mechanical engineering) from CSUN. During his time at CSUN, he was part of a team that built and designed a solar powered car that was entered in the inaugural American Solar Challenge (1990 – GM Sunrayce USA) that raced more than 1,800 miles from Florida to Michigan. The car that his team and his university created was featured in the LA Times, Popular Science, and Popular Mechanics. Tim continues to cultivate this passion and expertise by building unique and innovative spaces in his work to this day.
